The construction of Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles involved the forced demolition of the Mexican-American community in Chavez Ravine. The city used eminent domain to seize the land, displacing residents despite promises of new public housing. Instead, the land was given to Walter O’Malley, the owner of the Dodgers, for the construction of the private stadium, which opened in 1962.

No joke. This is probably the series/game that does it for my baseball and ultimately sports fandom, when you factor in with all of these teams I dislike winning constantly and the constant gambling in MLB, NBA, NFL

MLB has glimpses of being fun still, but it's ruined by what the league has become under Manfred (rather than it being solely Manfred's fault, though A's/Astros was still s***ty).

Also, the fact that there's no salary floor yet, let alone a salary cap, is ridiculous. Dodgers winning b2b like this just left an awful taste in my mouth. Idk if it's elevated by the fact of the Mets losing to virtually the same iteration of the Dodgers last year. But yea f*** this...
