Yeah this is more on Stearns then it is Mendoza but they're not gonna fire Stearns in the middle of the season. Sometimes a move has to be done just for the sake of it so I think Mendoza is going to take the hit eventually

the Mets true problem is they’ve developed 1 single position player in the past 7 years that turned out to be good (Alvarez) and have not had a single bullpen arm come up from the minors and deliver results.
