Ugh turang has been so bad these playoffs. Great job by snell, looking forward to tomorrow
Dodgers really going to repeat
Hopefully this forces a salary cap somehow
They probably gonna get Skubal or some s***

We ALL know skenes will be a dodger
Brewers not winning this series. They had their chance after getting out of a bases loaded jam off a crazy play and completely sold in the 9th
50 dollar bet
We ALL know skenes will be a dodger
League might have to veto that one like they did CP3 to the Lakers

yikes this is america’s sport. we spend money here

yeah why would we want to reward these billionaire owners that simply don’t put revenue back into the product on the field

Simply eliminate deferments
Simply eliminate deferments
Solves nothing
Solves nothing
Dont think they sign everybody that they have currently without the defferment option
Brewers need to get to their bullpen it’s weak. But we have too many guys atm on long slumps, not ideal. Also lost in all that is how close Chourio was to a game ending homer too

Why not? It's not like they'd be going to the Rays or Pirates instead
Still always feels like it’s just never gonna happen for us tho. The talent disadvantage shows up so much in series like these. And unless the guys coming up like pena and made become superstars it doesn’t seem like it will ever change.
The problem is not the lack of a salary cap or a team like the Dodgers taking advantage of deferrals, it's that there's a huge wealth gap in terms of team ownership and MLB simply has too many lame duck (and relatively broke) owners who are content to keep payroll as low as possible because their teams turn a yearly profit regardless
I think solving the "every elite Japanese prospect wants to play for the Dodgers" problem would be a lot easier than the salary cap thing
I'm sure every non-California team would be on board with an international player draft taking over for the current system

Wouldn’t the vast amount of salary having to be on the books right away possibly deter them from signing certain guys? Obv not Ohtani but others

I don't see why it would, the deferrals obviously lessen the present day financial burden on them but that money does still have to be paid out eventually
They'd probably just eat it though

I just want one 2019 nationals type run to win a world series, I don’t even need another winning season ever after that. Just seems like we always come up short smh

We had a pretty crazy payroll that season tbf but I understand what you mean
Only one game though there's still a lot of ball left to be played and it's not like the Dodgers are known for being unstoppable in the playoffs

Just a lot on our bullpen cuz of the woodruff injury. And having at min one black hole in the lineup every night (Ortiz) doesn’t help
League might have to veto that one like they did CP3 to the Lakers
Those days over with I’m afraid
People criticizing Turang more for not letting himself get hit than swinging at a pitch at his forehead is insane to me
Brewers tie it up tonight
