    Quote me in 3 years

Niggas just want to talk about d**** money girls and guns

and if they not rapping about that they rapping the same old same old that Nas and Kendrick have already done better

The closest things to new crossover stars in hip hop over the last couple of years is a former stripper/reality tv star, a gay cowboy, and a fat woman who can play the flute. Say what you want about them but at the very least they are presenting new POVs in hip hop.

Tupac and 50 bodied the gangsta rapper POV, its not getting any bigger than them. 69 tried and look where that got him

Jay and Drake have bodied the braggadocious/boss rapper with an instrospective side POV

Kendrick and Nas have bodied the conscious rapper POV

Kanye Dre and Trav have bodied the producer/rapper POV

Em/Post Malone have bodied the white rapper POV

But other than Lauryn Hill who dropped one clasic and dipped we've never seen a woman known for hits AND subject matter (Nicki has some songs that speak on real life but she's not KNOWN for it)

i think that will be the next kind of rapper to take over the game

feels like hip hop having an identity crisis amd the game is starving for new, fresh stories and characters.

right now the industry grasping for straws tryna to find that new character (hence Cardi B Lizzo and Lil Nas X)
