Damn why are people going so hard ITT?

If we real, that album kinda came and went. I think I need to accept that I don’t find Cole that interesting to replay his albums a lot even though I love a lot of his songs.
Nah u might be right. Kendrick was on the first track (a great track btw)
Talking about he got too much p**** and millions on his first tour 😭 like bruh that’s good not bad

woke up mad
it was better than mr morale and if you disagree you’re a culture vulture s***head who doesn’t know rap and should probably drown.
sure but that isn’t saying much at all lol

This is what opening up registration got us huh
I wouldn't say it's ass water, but I definitely don't hear or feel anything special about it. After I listened to it I was left thinking "Yep. That was a J Cole album" and nothing else. Nothing stood out or stuck with me like his other albums.
Maybe that's what he was going for since it was more focused on the raps with few gimmicks and concepts like his previous albums. But I can't say I was moved by many of the raps on the album.
At the very least, it was better than the snooze fest that was 4YEO. But I can't say that's a high bar.

Father Time, Purple Hearts, and Silent Hill alone easily clear everything on The Off Season.

He was talking about feeling wasteful and empty. That’s honest.

It was cool but felt like a mixtape. Also a lot of the songs were just stealth copies of songs he already made
It is a mixtape

i agree
A lot of the songs on Off Season are really good but the only ones I really still play are Pride is the devil, Punchin the clock, and The climb back. He doesn't really make albums that are super compelling to listen to once you've absorbed it a couple times.
I'd consider his top 3 to be FHD, 4YEO, and Born Sinner

I'm not arguing with you, just stating that you are wrong.
