SamXXYeah, I don't disagree. That's why for me, on a long awaited Jay Electronica album, it's waaaay too much Jay-Z. Overshadowing him. Still a great album though. But should be more Jay E's time to shine than Jay-Z's, imo.
If it came out in like 2014 it would've been the other way around.
But ever since 4:44 Hov been in his zone and Jay E hasn't been as good.

KTT has been waiting for this since before I can even remember. Way way WAAAY back. So no surprises there.

He’s very familiar with 5% lingo and teachings.
This album is mid, Jay Electronica needed Hov to get people’s attention for this project.
The music doesn’t live up to the hype

i think Jay E had deeper verses that you have to play back because of how good they are and you miss some stuff, but Jay Z just has some much more charisma.

It might be. And the structure of bars as well. Lupe really has internal rhymes, entendres , word flips etc.
Jsy is much simpler in terms of structure but just as effective. I’m leaving work. Will give you an example.
