Flux Capacitor hard as bricks.
So much power and emotion.

You know Fantano is a soulless man when he doesn't include APIDTA in his favorite songs.
Wasn't a wash but on majority Jay did do better. I'm not even focusing on that though because the album is great. They both are highly functioning.
That's the duality of it. Jay's is more accessible on first listen. There's depth to his rhymes but then Jay E's takes it a step further. Jay pulls you in and Jay E deepens it.

Jay is Jay Electronica
Jay Z is Hov
Fantano vs. Jay Electronica beef OTW.
The beef nobody wanted or needed.
I said what I said

Even if we goin deeper Hov still got him. But I fw both their output

Most def. Hov got the depth. It's just different. I think good artistry is making the lyrics pull you in with delivery and flow. Off bat I respected Hov's energy and over time I think I'll like Jay E's more.

Jay rapping about Orishas>>>>>

Said this many times and I'm bored of this debate at this point but I prefer Jay E on the album.
Can't get that Rihanna flip at the end of Flux Capacitor out of my head
Song is emotional.
also the same dude who uses his platform to keep the "Jay Elec has dropped nothing in 10 years" bs alive as if he hadn't dropped some of the best songs of the genre

You only help his argument when you bring up those old songs though. Just refer to what Elec says on this album

nah
The Act II material we have (literally half the album already) >>> this album
this album is great, potentially even a classic in its own right, but Jay Elec's performances and writing was better on those songs, and there's just generally a magic about those recordings.
I'm confident Act II will be released at some point. It might take another decade, it might not. And if the rest of the tracks are anywhere as good as the one half (so far no reason to doubt this, every new track delivered, except arguably Letter To Falon but I'm also still convinced they tried to remake that one) it'll most definitely be his masterpiece

I agree with this. Jay elect wasnt really sounding like himself on this project. It's still good but he was just different on this.
