So how’s everyone feeling about this after all the “debut” “HOV is on half of it” and “long awaited” act 2 buzz is gone and you can just focus on the music? It’s a pretty great project. I don’t mind that it’s a testament to his faith. It’s pretty consistent in that standpoint and fits in with his reluctance to drop it and what helped him finally drop it ultimately. The only song that doesn’t click all the way for me is “Flux Capacitor” although I do think the beat is interesting. Pretty cool Jay Elect produced most of this album. Hope he feels galvanized to continue with more.

I didn’t like how Hov was all over his debut album, but when it all died down I understood it, and why it needed to happen that way.

If this was anyone but him it would’ve happened if he moved like everyone else..

Jay Electronica has always showed us signs of doing an collaborative album with someone or at least hinted at one.

Other than that I took this album for what it was, nice and short, not overbearing and long.

It’s a great album, just the wrong timing. He’s been gone for a decade. He should’ve dropped a finished version of ACT2 first or a completely new project then come with AWT. My only complaints of AWT are Flux capacitator and his 2nd verse on Ezekiels wheel was probably the worst verse I’ve heard from him.

I would like to get Act 3 next year to complete the series. I hope the reception for his verse on Jesus Lord and his Grammy nom will encourage him to drop more.
