originally a gacha but now a singe-player action rpg that has some granblue relink / genshin similarities on the surface at least
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTIU4Bmv0AUPicked this up for the hell of it (and it was only $13 on a key site...) and not quite sure what to think. Doesn't feel bad, but I am a bit surprised to see the Very Positive rating on Steam. Like, it's a fine game, but I am not f***ing with the characters at all (nor really their designs; they all feel like they're from different games and the faces are kinda f***ed up lol). Combat is kinda fun but ehh.
The world itself looks really good though, so I will give them that.
Tbh no idea why I'm even playing this in the first place when I still gotta play the FC and SC remakes, replay through FF7 Rebirth on PC, and Fire Emblem

I still have it on my wishlist but watching extended gameplay of it plus my experiences playing genshin keep me from pulling the trigger lol I have enough on my plate getting through Rebirth in time (I only just made my way to the Corel Mines 38 hours in
) to enjoy SC and Control Resonant
I thought you already beat FC remake though

You aren't missing much lol. I'm sure it'll get better as it gets updated but you're much better off playing Rebirth.
And nah, I've only played a couple hours of it. Pretty sure I'm still in the content that was in the demo lol. I did play the original though, same with SC. Think that's part of the reason why I haven't hopped back on em. Also got filtered by a fight on Nightmare difficulty

I'm enjoying my time with Rebirth but I definitely see the complaints about the minigames and I haven't even made it to the Golden Saucer yet lol
Yeah, makes sense that you wouldn't be in a rush to play seeing that youve experienced the story and its twists already. but, man, some of those bosses in FC were a b**** on hard so I can imagine nightmare difficulty being true to its name lol
finished Fantasian Neo Dimension last night and i first tried the final boss
one of the best turn based boss fights i've ever had tbh, s*** was so much fun

Nice
Been meaning to play this, especially now that it's on Steam.

the game has an odd pacing kind of, because it was originally released as two episodes back when it was an apple arcade game
the first 20-30 hours are very linear and easy and pretty slow storytelling wise
the second act is changing it up though and really got me hooked, in the end i've put in around 75 hours
Mostly Negative reviews on Steam...
yeah it looked like it'd be divisive with it being like 65% visual novel / 35% combat but that combat appears to be unique enough to warrant giving it a shot.
plus its only $25 and under 2GBs wtf
Anyone play either Caligula Effect games?
Seen the first was pretty mid but the second one is apparently really good. On sale for $15, so I'm considering giving it a shot.
Finally got around to actually playing andf finishing Sky 1st Chapter as well. Think I'm gonna wait to play 2nd, but the demo may convince me to start up sooner rather than later. We'll see with that lol.

I played and beat the second one and I'd recommend it (even if it is a bit easy) especially at that price
Decided to finally finish up Expedition 33 and man, what a disappointing game. I dropped it on release about because I was not digging it at all. Figured might as well give it another shot a year later.
I think a lot of aspects of the game are like, decent to good, but the characters (and in turn, the story) are not great, and unfortunately, those other things aren't nearly enough to carry this game. I just do not care about these characters at all. If I did, I could definitely overlook most things, but they did absolutely nothing for me. The Maelle ending shouldn't even be a consideration imo.
The music, environment/setpiece visuals were very good though. Happy the team who made this got a lot of success off it.
I will never understand the overwhelming praise for this game and Metaphor lol (and speaking of, that came out 2 years ago today).
