Yeah. Dude’s brain shuts off & he immediately accepts as soon as he hears noir coming out of a producers mouth lol
I just looked and the only other TV he's really done since becoming a leading man was The North Water in 2021- which is also about a criminal conspiracy to commit insurance fraud. Another classic noir trope.
Wonder how Arkham ties into all this
iirc I think it’s been converted to a DCU project

A true tragedy. I can just imagine how dark, grungy, and eerie Arkham Asylum would look in the ReevesVerse
Gunn weasel ass prolly negotiated that like "OK I'll respect your wishes to keep the batman out of my dcu....IF you give me the arkham series. My universe needs some Gotham world building 😈"
This trailer not make much noise or is it just my feeds? Feel like it needed a glimpse at a new Reevesverse villain or something similar to get chatter and hype bustin

Idk tho I think the Arkham show is suited better as a DCU project?
Looking at Reeves’ film vs what the DCU seems to be going for, the Arkham show has a chance to be more supernatural in a sense. I feel like Reeves’ universe is more suited to be focused on serial killers and crime lords. We’re not going to get a Killer Croc or Man Bat here. But we could in the Arkham show in the DCU
This trailer was f***ing awesome for a teaser. From it you can already tell this is going to be amazing.
The monologue from him is so good. I still won't ever believe that's Colin Farrell
Mr Crabs/the kurgan gonna kill it as Salvatore Marone. Still maintain that killing off Falcone was a huge mistake in the batman
Normally 'charisma' isn’t something I would associate the Penguin with, but there’s something about Colin Farrell’s portrayal that completely sells it, just an absolutely brilliant casting choice (kinda like Heath Ledger with the Joker)
His pursuit of glory in this series will make a fascinating watch cus we all know s***’s gonna hit the fan for this character (and those around him)

Very good point. There’s definitely more potential with a DCU Arkham show because it can be supernatural
I didn’t think about it like that
So 8 episodes?
