You deffo need to watch The Batman before this man. How are you not tapped in?

Anybody that hasn't wasted their time on The Batman is doing fine

I like Sofia, definitely the standout performance. Not loving the dialogue or the characterization so far, it's very by-the-numbers. Victor gets it the worst.
This show has the Sopranos DNA. There's no comparing the two obviously, but what I think sets the Sopranos apart from a lot of gangster shows is that it evokes pathos by way of darkly humorous situations and the ingenius therapy setup, while also knowing how to cut through the darkness so that the show doesn't feel too oppressive or a chore to watch.
Now look, I'm not saying, "PeNgUin needs C O M E D Y" no, don't get it twisted. Im just saying maybe aligning itself with The Sopranos DNA worked against it in this first episode BUT I'm still very much interested in seeing where The Penguin goes. Again, shoutout to the actress who played Sofia. Very unsettling.

If this was a movie it would be NC-17 for that alone 🤮🤮🤮
This was really great and engaging and I like how much depth Penguin has (thank you Tony). Sofia though
I just need the penguin to say, "Whateva happened there."
I can’t even say his name, that animal blundetto
I just wish the kid who plays the sidekick was a better actor. It’s like he got plucked from a different show.

Cobb and Sofia wash away that BS tho

Yeah, I’m finding the show a bit uneven. Some parts are HBO quality and some parts feel pedestrian.

I didn't love the premiere but I'm optimistic about the rest
Also, what was with that school bus killing the goon? It was so random. Looked like a scene from a parody movie or like Final Destination.

That’s why I thought he was getting killed off, he’s a boring actor with little screen presence.
