Ngl
I understand trying to ground the universe I’m not even mad at changing Cobblepott
But them saying Falcone instead of falconey bothers me
Falcone's pronunciation has been more of a debate than a change tho. I've heard both ways. He's based off The Godfather and that series messed with the Corleone pronunciation depending on who was speaking. I think its just an Americanized way of saying it
This is a great example: Michael says "Corleone" (his own last name) the same way they say Falcone in this show, and then Moe immediately says "Corleoney." It's treated completely casually.
I didn’t hate it but riddlers storyline could’ve gotten wrapped up better and like someone else pointed out he hated the rich/corrupt in Gotham so he decides to flood the city killing off tons of poor people which only makes sense if hes dumb but still smart enough to pull off the plan
Okay I get the disconnect now that people had especially with him hating the privileged of Gotham but ending up destroying places like Crown Heights where the working class lives. It does have some logical holes I admit
This show is awesome. I love this Reeves-verse just as much as TDK trilogy
This show is f***in awesome
I thought the Maroni family knew that Oz was a double agent though? Like that’s what he basically pitched it as? Unless they somehow found out that Oz already used the Viti/Luca’s wife card for his own purpose or found out that he killed their guy in the Falcone basement
Naa I think it’s cause he killed some of marionis guys when he was in the truck with the drop.
Viti forced him to ride with the shipment
3/3 on these episodes wtf
amazing ending, its been a long time since a show genuinely surprised me like this
Who is Vic supposed to be in the Batman universe? I feel like he’s finna be Robin and he’s not actually bad. This is going to be his redemption arc
I usually never care for penguin but this adaptation has me liking his character more

Naa I’d hate that. I think he’s just one of penguins goons.
But man, this is what love about this show. They’ve got me so deeply invested in a character that would probably die in a standoff with Batman 10v1 in the beginning of a movie

I think it’s him tbh. Vic does seem to be inspired in part by Robin who made his comic book debut in 1983's Batman #357, where he tries to steal the Batmobile's tires in an alley, just like Vic does with the Penguin's whip
Next ep (per the preview) we getting a flash back of when Penguin ratted her out and got her sent to arkham, the recast falcone appearance incoming 😭😭

You didn’t care for Penguin in Batman Returns? I feel like there’s some inspiration there with making him sympathetic angle. Returns Penguin is just more Burton and weird
The Batman having Penguin and Catwoman, a stylized Gotham we haven’t seen in live action since the 90s, and a sequel rumored to be set in winter.
Coincidence or Reeves really inspired by Burton?
Fam this show is amazing. It's honestly a shame this isn't the mainstream DCU batman universe
this is peak

Ive never seen batman returns. Only 89 outta the pre 2000s ones
