As a Carti fan this is always something which has bugged me about his music. I know that the whole point of his music is that you're meant to focus on the sound instead - but if he's repeating a refrain repeatedly, it could at least make sense.

For example, in the song 'Control' he says "I carry your love like a doctor". Wtf does that even mean? Seriously, i've been thinking about this all of today and I can't think of anything it could possibly be. Is he talking about a doctor carrying a human heart? Even in the few instances where the heart is removed from the body, the doctor wouldn't carry it anywhere, he would simply dispose of it when putting the new heart in. If anyone could give this message to The PlayBoy, I would really appreciate it. I really enjoy his music, and I don't mind keeping lyrics simple, but some more research would be really appreciated.

These aren't the types of lyrics i'm complaining about - the repetition could mirror the compulsive nature of d*** addiction. The lyrics that i'm complaining about are the one's which just don't make sense like when he says "I chase the purple dragon toes (x4)". That's from his soundcloud era, so I don't get why nobody has stopped it as his career progressed

Then why not "I carry your child like a doctor" - considering he rhymes it with "choppa", it would make even more sense as "carry" sounds better with other words with a "c" sound at the beginning
