Prince's debut album is really special and shouldn't be shirked off as just an early attempt at artistry. His vision is clear and well-realized throughout this whole album. What I really love about this album is how soft and intimate it is. Compared to some of his later more maximilist production, I appreciate how subtle and quiet this album can be in moments. Above all that, he was 19 years old producing all of this which is still mind-boggling.
