Heard it debuted live in Atlanta and was waiting for over a year for this thing to release. Can't imagine how it was for people who waited 20 years to hear Nude or True Love Waits get completed.

Loving this. Rectifies the main issue I had with the first album feeling uncohesive and dragging at points.

I think their first record is better, but the new one is growing on me.

The Smile really went 2/2. New joint is bolder and more ethereal. Both albums are f***ing amazing tho.

I think I still prefer the first one just because I think there’s more stand out individual songs and one’s that actually emotionally resonated with me, but as a collection of tracks—this new one has a really strong sense of atmosphere. It’s like a long mood piece at points. I’m missing some of Thom’s immediately beautiful vocal melodies because he is veering into the meme about him of vague moaning, but that aimlessness so to speak in how he’s singing works for this records feel. Although I wish we just got one traditional track in the vain of Free in The Knowledge on this.
