Let's see
Let's see
it was just some discord nonsense bro
Has it Leaked is absolutely not to be trusted btw lol
I've said it again and again
I don't believe that s***
that Jonny Greenwood is a Zionist and Thom's too stubborn to see why that's a problem (kinda 2 issues)
It’s really disheartening and honestly i feel like the band might not do any US shows just because the political climate is so intense over here
Who's paying to boo??
Think you’re underestimating how many die hards that also feel strongly about Palestine
The greenwood situation is so disheartening because he’s been married for so long and they all have received so much early support and love from Israel, i don’t see them denouncing a thing. Think bibi could say the words ethnic cleansing tomorrow and they would still be blaming hamas. It’s f***ed
Greenwood is legit one of the best musicians of our time like through and through a modern master. No doubt about it.
New interview out now and the band really does sound like it's in a bit of shambles. Kinda surprised they're putting this out considering how rough it is:

Some awful political takes from them in here, except Ed who then immediately after says he doesn't talk to the other members one-on-one much anymore.
They were interviewed separately too except for Thom and Jonny who were together. Very very strange vibes here.

He may be one of the greatest composers of all time in any form/medium; he's just also a hypocrite.
He keeps saying he doesn't support the Israeli government, but he won't ever clarify or talk about any of the victims of said government. He says he should be allowed to perform with the same people he's always performed with in an area he lives in, but then he acts shocked/offended when people take issue with the fact that those same people are performing for the IDF.
Phil said he's shocked that the band's being ostracized. It's legit not hard to figure out why, my guy.

jonny’s position / proximity to israel and thom’s relationship with him kinda make the elephant in the room impossible to contend with
i think they’re pretty smart ppl and it’s obvious that they just don’t care outside of ed
a real shame for otherwise the greatest living working band in the world, but it seems like even ed knows it
es being depressed and waking up and realizing, hey i kinda helped write some of all time best songs with guys i met when i was 17 i guess i owe it antother tour is hilarious and unsurprising
the victimization jonny puts out here is insane
they could have gotten away with this 10 years ago, but the world is witnessing a genocide. it’s hard to act like performing for the IDF is a humanitarian, politically neutral effort
i think even centrists agree israel is an apartheid state
damn the interview feels so much like “we have so much success and outgrown each other but owe it to the fans to play the music, just because the music has grown so far behind ourselves is sad to read
thom simply can’t back away from the fact that he’s been a politically active voice in the past yet is largely silent on one of the worst human atrocities seen on the world stage.
it gets to a point where how much justification can be made and do u just throw ur arms to the sky and say “i’m f***ed up. i’m too old to change. my ways”
it’s also crazy hearing how posh thom is

You gotta remember that they all met at a private school in Oxfordshire, the current fees to go to the school are £9k a year
Obviously they are posh. Posh + fame + extreme critical acclaim for their own creations can lead to becoming very out of touch
