There was definitely people trying to act like there was a west coast wave with dot, Tyler, and keem’s albums. It didn’t last long but I do remember people acting like Kendrick ushered in a new era

For what it's worth, Kendrick fell from #1 on both charts in gnx's second week. Every song had fallen completely out of the top 10 by week 4 and out of the top 25 by week 5.
Luther didn't go #1 until after the Super Bowl and likely wouldn't have otherwise

it released during christmas season, tv off would’ve went #1 the week after squabble up if it weren’t for all the christmas songs surging

and this is how propaganda happens lol. he was competing with himself in Squabble Up and TV Off and then right after that was Christmas songs…if anything it shows that the song lasted throughout the Christmas season and by January 11 gained a spot each week until it held #1 basically a MONTH after Super Bowl and for 13 weeks onwards

that’s a hit, but you tried lol. there was no “super bowl boost” like your post tryna imply, people just liked the song more as time went on and gnx finally had time to breathe post Christmas, just like SZA SOS and Metro in 2022

look at the points those songs were putting up and look at the points these songs will put up.
