They don’t wanna admit it, but Drake benefited from the beef just as much as Kendrick did. There wouldn’t have been half as much anticipation for this Drake album if the beef never happened, it lowkey revitalized his career

That statistically isn’t true lol. Look at where Drake was streaming per month before and after the beef. Then compare that to what Kendrick was streaming pre vs post beef. Kendrick had a GIGANTIC jump.

A surprise-released album literally cannot have a rollout. What do you think surprise release means

You’re missing my point. A “rollout” for an album would’ve garnered just as much attention and hype for Kendrick Lamar and any upcoming releases as the string of events I listed in my post. Those moments provided, for all intents and purposes, a rollout for GNX

For real. It isn’t true. Drake in legal writing has said he has lost money, cried himself to sleep, gone through mental anguish, and deals cause of the beef

This is verifiably false. The delta in attention pre and post beef for Kendrick is significantly larger than it was for Drake. It would be foolish to act like Drake’s massive commercial success could be directly attributed to his participation in the beef, whereas there would be a strong case that’s true for Kendrick. CONTROL and NLU are two of his biggest moments, when he’s using other people’s names for clout and attention

For All The Dogs was his least successful non-dance album. It didn’t have a major hit record. Had the lowest first week sales of any Drake studio album not named Honestly, Nevermind. Didn’t get a lot of love from the public either.

ICEMAN has been the complete opposite of that so far. It’s 10000% because of the after-effects of the beef

I didn’t say it was larger for Drake. I said they benefited as much as the other guy did.

None of those things were tied to any upcoming album while they were happening. Kendrick never said an album was coming. Yes, people expected an album at some point, but GNX was a complete surprise drop

First day streams are about anticipation, not quality. ICEMAN received 31M more streams than FATD on Day 1, and that was with two other new albums out as well

Arguing with Drake stans is pointless. They had been fed so much bullshit from Drake about bots, UMG and all kind of other nonsense from their papi to cope from him being completely humiliated for 2 years. You can’t reason with people like that.

Arguing with Kendrick stans is pointless. They get a mid->above average album once every 4 years and are fed so much bullshit by fantano fans, redditors, white execs, that they actually believe he’s like a rap messiah. You can’t reason with people like that.

Drake stans have come to enjoy humiliation, something else they have in common with MAGA

Drake Stans never said that Apple streams didn’t matter
He gets most of his streams from Apple

Nah I remember them saying that Apple streams don’t matter and only Spotify does.
