If you saw who I listen to on the daily, you'd know how little i care about others opinions on music I actually listen to.

It's just more annoying than anything. As humans we seek community, and shared experiences so when someone likes something, you want to share what you like and enjoy with others.

That's the monoculural communal aspect of music.

That's what's been cool about Iceman/Maid/Habibi, seeing all the drake fans share what they like about it, myself included.

It's just every so often, you'll see a few of drake fans discrediting what Kendrick did in 2024, discrediting GNX, acting as if there's some grand conspiracy with UMG, and that part is just wack to me and annoying. that's all

I used to be a huge Kendrick fan, I thought he was the future of rap but since Damn it was obvious for me he is just looking for that #1 spot, which is not congruent with the music. And I love DAMN for what it is tho.

Gnx on the other hand is boring af. Is not trash but feels lacking in terms of Kendrick standards. It feels like he took the same route as The weeknd, less artsy experimental s*** and more appealing to the masses. This work for the Weeknd but it doesn’t sit right for Kendrick

I don't even know why as a kendrick fan you would go to bat for such a mid album. he's kendrick lamar. that album pleased you? I got hip to kendrick off niketalk music forum back in 2010 before I ever heard of KTT. I was one of the 5k or so that bought S.80 first week. if you really fw dot you should be expecting way more than that s*** man be better

Kendrick's another guy who I've loved since the beginning.

I was watching dot at the el rey back in 2009 live.

I really enjoyed GNX for what it was, which was bangers, something his catalog desperately needed.

This is subjective, but if you were outside during 2024, 2025 you saw what TV Off, NLU, and Luther did. Those were slaps.

Just like how Janice STFU, Ran to Atlanta, and like Road Trips are about to run the summer.
