NoirThe discourse around the three albums, especially Iceman, has been pretty miserable. If you say anything critical whatsoever about the album on here you’re a hater or a kbot, and if you say anything nice about the album on music nerd communities like RYM you get accused of glazing. It’s all really tribalistic and childish.
I think it’s impressive that Drake moved the needle with 3 albums at almost 40 years of age and there are some really good songs across the 3 albums. Iceman is probably his most enjoyable album since 2017. I still think the albums are pretty average though and I have a lot the same complaints I always have (whiny, unrelatable subject matter, lifeless vocal performances in spots, too much bloat in general).
Drake is Drake. Nothing is going to change anyone’s mind at this point. The respective fanbases’ defensiveness and volatility that the beef worsened only makes talking about him that much more annoying.

I literally remember hiphopallday on twitter having to repost Kendrick passing a certain streaming mark in multiple weeks cuz his streams kept getting deleted. Groundhog Day s***. It’s obvious to anyone that side was botting their ass off and once Spotify cleaned that s*** up, their numbers freefell.
Pretending it never happened won’t work cuz we all recall when they juiced up his numbers to pretend he was the new streaming king until that s*** stopped immediately. Same with doechi when they tried to shove her as the new it girl and now she’s nowhere to be found streaming wise
