    Lou was the one most vocally against Nico joining VU. He's even the one who came up with the idea of naming it "TVU.... and Nico" cause he didn't want her to be "officially" part of them.

    But Nico had already been doing music for a few years before that with people way more famous than Lou, Cale, and Tucker. It might be the case that working with VU is what cast the remainder of her musical career into relative obscurity tbh.
