So I noticed that as the show got sadder and darker, the characters started complaining about Artie’s food. When at the beginning they would compliment it so much.
Once they had Da Giovanni's, it was all over...
Dude never changed up his menu, s*** gets old when you eating g the same damn dishes 3 to 4 times a week minimum lmao
And armies cringey coming out ans talking to the diners and his cornball jokes, thank god Tony set him str8 on that someone had to
Artie’s food fell off when he started flirting with hostesses and separating from his wife
you could say he’s directly responsible for Tony’s lack of progress in therapy and beef with New York
Pretty soon we’ll have to put a high chair over here
Ill tell you one thing, and this is hard, No one wants to hear you talk, ppl are trying to eat out there, and you come out with your corny jokes and your.... stupid stories...stay in the kitchen
I never picked that up. I just finished the show for the first time but I might go back into it to catch the details.

Take it from me bro you miss an insane amount the first watch, second watch isn't even a chore cuz you know what to expect and you pick up on all the classic lines and relationships/rivalries you somehow missed the first time
Arties creep ass lost his mojo in the kitchen but tbqh you go to any restaurant that often you gonna get sick of it hence them being so excited about the new Italian place across the street when it opened

i get loyalty and all that but they really acted that was the only spot they could go to. I remember they tried out some other restuarants throughout the show but besides that sushi place Tony and Carmela liked, they really stuck with Artie lol
After 20 times watching every season I would say it's on purpose and the food is a symbolic representation of artys character plot. He starts out happy, ends up wanting what Tony has, ruins not only his life (suicide attempt divorce) but his food quality and skill as a chef, until he finally beats up Benny and goes back to the basics like his papi taught him lol
Edit: it's part of the theme of Tony corrupting everyone around him, chase winters and soprano the real writing big 3
Pretty soon we’ll have to put a high chair over here
"Arty bucco, warm and convivial host!"
