This movie is god awful. I almost just turned it off every time Sil was on screen, tf was that?? There’s nearly nothing redeeming about this and honestly an embarrassment to Chase’s legacy. It was like he took some washed up film student script for a mob movie and crammed it with as many “nuanced” sopranos references as possible. Idk how y’all can defend this

Christ what a drama queen Sil was in it for less then 5 minutes of screen time and that's the first (and only) thing you mention?

Everyone was a caricature of themself. Every scene was just trying to reaffirm what the show told you about these characters during that time. Any enjoyment of this film solely relies on being a fan of the show, and you can’t seriously tell me this is an objectively good piece of work. The writing for Christopher’s narration was cringe as hell, zero character development, the plot went nowhere, everything that could have been interesting or the source of something substantial just panned out as a painfully obvious plot device, no noteworthy performances (all energy from these actors was put into mimicking the characters of the show), even sound mixing was trash

Fair take, I didn't see it that way but I can def see how some could

This show legit makes me laugh out loud
Damn, James really went through it, reminds me of what Michael Kenneth Williams went through when he played Omar Little.
have mixed feelings about this prequel. Felt like there was too much retroactive plots that were just added on, bc was there ever tension between Junior and Christopher in the main show? And the way I thought D***ie was Richie Aprile for way too long

This. I watched it twice and the second time was pretty weak. That Sil actor had me laughing at the impersonation
The Newark riots plot could have been so much more but it went absolutely nowhere and was better off left out.
I just thought it was painfully average and didn't see the reason for its existence, but I can see someone absolutely having an awful time with this.

Chase on making a prequel series
"How do you feel about that?
I’m not that anxious to do it.
What are the chances that still happens, even though you have some reservations?
No. I would do one more movie.
Of Sopranos?
Yeah. Because I have an idea for that that I’d like to do. But I don’t think they want that."
His idea what they don't want means it ain't about Tony

That or he's saying they want a series but he just wants a movie. Either way chase gets a big
Damn so He really does get whacked in front of his family.
of course he does the parallels between him and Phil in s6 were too much

pro tip: it doesn't matter what Chase says
read the end how you read it
Melfi: “Sounds to me like Anthony Jr may have stumbled onto existentialism”
Tony: “Fuckin Internet”

😂😂😂
😂😂😂
"With pine cones all around" "YOU DID???"
every time I catch these lil clips I find hilarious lines I missed
I actually liked the movie so much.
Does it make you look at Tony differently when you watch the show?
