Kinda wack to blame the state of hiphop on its artists when we were all buying and circulating their music and egging them on last decade
Most southern niggas down here hate the fundamentals

We?
We?
Ok Jim halpert you’re above every single music listener because you have an iPod and have singularly preserved “real listenership.” Want me to have someone get the balls next?

Were you Out here buying lil baby and gunna albums?
Future makes it look easy because he’s been doing it for 100 years to be fair
Just don’t think nas could make Thought It Was A Drought or Groupies or I Serve The Base
He couldn’t
He couldn’t
Atlanta is cluttered with some ass for sure. But isn’t everywhere?
Wasn't Gucci influenced by Jeru the Damaja? I feel like that encouraged him to have some flair in his bars
Fr??

He absolutely could make the equivalent of those songs in his late 90’s thug era if the equivalent beats were available lol
Like if you sub Thought it was a drought for the equivalent late 90’s ny version of that beat or Timbaland doing a beat like that, he can catch that cadence and probably say more intricate s*** while doing it
Lol and im from th south

I’m not sure the point you’re making

I guess why single out the south when there’s bad influence everywhere.
Not saying I disagree I’m more of a NY Cali guy but still.
South literally running rap and creating empires.

I think the south influence is more stronger for the state of hip hop today. For better and for worse. Not for sure if you watched the video or not

Not yet the baby just went to sleep and I’m chilling with her a bit but I’ll give it a watch when I can like always with your stuff

True I was going strictly Atlanta
Was just bumpin Future Sorry earlier, distorting space and time and that shii for sure talent lol
Even tho is seems easy
Naturally people will gravitate to making easier music but that doesn’t mean the South didn’t have crazy creative influence. I don’t think you can pin the blame on one region when the internet and tech made making music more accessible. Not everything has to be about inner rhyme schemes and complex bars either. The South ran things for a long time but ran out of steam and no other influences came around to picking up the torch.

Yeah it’s not a “let’s pile up on the south” type video. I’m from Florida so southern music is always my fav. It’s more of me doing an unbiased observation of hip hop today and why the south probably is the reason for a lot of piss poor quality. But appreciate you peeping my stuff!
