I do think (and this aint mean as a stan response, I been thinking bout this a lot because of recent rl situations in the local scene) there is something to be said about how in the constant pursuit of chasing greatness/success (in any medium) OVER EVERYTHING else, leads a high risk to the lack of said pursuit in being like a decent human being.

All the 1000+ hours of manpower and discipline zero’d in on being the greatest musician you can be inevitably leads to an emptiness in other personal areas in life that folks end up filling in problematic ways (e.g. d****, cheating, I’m just starting at the “acceptable” vices.) versus the artist that is already self-realized enough to know they dont need any of these things to feel whole cause they already at one within themselves.
