its my favourite one
this is a great read. Julian pretty much flat out admits that the media blackout they did for “Comedown Machine” was because they didn’t like recording the album together & that they only made it for financial reasons lmao.
Also talks about how the recording of the new album has breathed new life into the band, and how they feel more inspired now than they ever have in their careers

That makes no sense lol Comedown Machine is their least commercial appealing album and their lowest charting one but sure
That’s not really what he’s saying anyway so whatever

Crazy its arguably their best
Angles was a disappointment and even the band doesn’t like it since they weren’t on good terms when making it
@deepsleep comedown machine is really uneven and was only made because they owed their label another album. They didn’t even do any promotion for it
@deepsleep @Cowboy @RoomOnFire
I was so wrong
I never really listened to Angles and Comeback Machine in full and went back to them
Angles is blowing me away. wtf I’m loving it and listening to it way more on repeat than any other strokes album atm. cm a lot better than I thought it was too.
Going through voidz and all their solo stuff along with old strokes albums. youtube rabbit holes for interviews and past live shows from all over. I’m so hyped for this album
this alone could make up 2020 for me

always nice when people come around to albums, sometimes all it takes is to listen to them in just the right moment and suddenly it just clicks
took awhile for me to get into angles
while i think the album def. has some flaws it got some of my fav songs from their discog. in there also
machu picchu and life is simple in the moonlight
and of course virtue is an amazing second album for the voidz
super hyped for the new album, esp. since the singles have been stellar and it looks like it won't be the last one we will hear...
they caught a second wind
If this album gets pushed back, I swear to God...
I think if that was gonna be the case, we'd have heard something by now tbh. So I hope
