for Will Toledo i would lean much much more into saying Leonard Cohen & Pavement are the main influences and could confidently argue that

from the stuff he's said and a few lyrics here and there, it seems his formative years were filled with more Pink Floyd, Weezer, and The Beach Boys (!!!)

The Libertines are even more influenced by The Strokes than Artcic Monkeys, a better band too imo.
