I can definitely see this having multiple seasons already
Watched the first episode last night, I didn't think it was all that funny but it was good.
The first episode was good. Catherine O'Hara (Patty) is gonna be the highlight of the show imo, it got so much better once she came in.
The second episode is annoying as f***, I wasn't amused I just wanted it to end and it's a pretty short episode lol.

Sorry….here
Just watched the pilot, I was dying the whole time
One of the top 5 pilots to come out in the last 5 years prolly

I really enjoyed the first episode.
Second episode was really annoying. Had me wanting to punch him in the face and tell him to f*** off. With the dynamic they have set up, I feel like either Catherine O'Hara or Ike Barinholtz's character would've kept it real with him way sooner.
Still think this is gonna be a great show.

Yeah he's such a f***ing moron that it's next to impossible to believe he's been in the business 20 months let alone years, and that goes for episode 1 as well

Nah you right, she's the voice of reason while Rogen is the circus clown making awful decisions and ideas at every corner she def gonna be most likable
Just finished the first episode. S*** was hilarious lmfao

i agree. was wayy too overboard. think the support cast of ep 1 helped the balance a lot
i will say tho, the production and meta narrative of episode 2 was amazing. Nearly everything in the episode was a commentary on what The Studio's film crew was actively doing.
One takes dominate the episode, its bookended with the driving scenes to and from the set, and the crew is under similar time constraints as Matt's set visit. For 4 days they rehearsed all day then only had 90 min to film due to the lighting. At one point Matt mentions whip pans to stitch it together which is what The Studio does to stitch episodes together. That was a wonderful gag imo
so Seth Rogen's character was like a Kevin Feige type right?
Don't know who they're basing if off but it feels eerily similar to De Luca and Adby's current situation at WB Studios. Almost too close to be coincidental and if it is it really just shows how relevant this discussion is right now. Feige runs a studio but is the lead creative over most of his directors
Those two came in to lead WB Studios after Zaslav took over, are clearly film fans, took gigantic bets on auteurs and are currently on the hot seat to be fired cus everything is set to be financial losses
They secured book rights for Mickey7 to give to Bong (he renamed to 17) which wasn't financially successful, let Ryan Coogler scam them on Sinners which prob won't make profit and have a $150M imax drama by PTA even though he's never made anything close to that before. Then there's Superman which we know has pressure too
edit: didn't even realize there was a new article on this

https://twitter.com/Variety/status/1905693567424831698Not really fair to group Mickey 17 in with these others. Zaslav went out of his way to sabotage that one from the jump. It was never given a fair chance at success

i'm not at all trying to put any blame on them. just grouping it cus those are ultimately the reasons that will be listed if anything goes south. Everything's going bad
Zaslav def isn't out of the line of fire either, but he'll just blame them first. For example he's the one that pushed for The Alto Knights despite executives pushing back and it bombed
