As much as I want us to tank, I don't know that I could stomach a loss to the Colts
I easily hate them more than any team, even the Jets
lol
This Belichick discourse finna be mad annoying if we gotta hear about it the rest of the year. I donāt think we should fire him at all but in the middle of the season is even more insane
Popovich aināt done a damn thing either since his last dynasty and thereās not 1/10000000th of the outrage and callin for his head

Popovich isn't the GM
Heās been what Brad Stevens is for ages now lol
word I thought it was still RC Buford. nonetheless what popovich blunders can you really point to? they're at least rebuilding, bill has refused to rebuild

Wouldnāt say heās made a lot of mistakes per se just that thereās a kinda weird double standard goin on
Pop aināt done a damn thing since Tim retired. LMA and Kawhi got nowhere and he failed ass backwards into Wemby
If Bill is fired, which I donāt want, I do not want Vrabel. Iām sorry, but I donāt want anyone affiliated with the Patriots organization (not Vrabel, not Mayo) as our next head coach. Hire from the Shanahan/McVay coaching tree.

Well said

Rebuilding is a HELL of a lot easier to do in the NBA when you on have 8-9 total players in your whole rotation, versus a game day roster of 45 in the nfl that all see time on the field
Itās not practical to completely rebuild in the nfl like it is in the nba, because no matter what you do, your roster is way too large to rebuilding every single positional group. Youāre always going to have some spots that donāt get as much time devoted to them in the draft/free agency or that you just need to use vets at because there is a salary cap and way too many spots to fill.
If I hear one more mf mutter Ben Johnsonās name in the same light as Bill Belichick Iām gonna puke
Ben Johnson bout to last one single season wherever he goes and then get fired

rebuilding is also easier when you have some understanding of positional value, you can't be drafting cole strange's with first round picks while criminally neglecting your passing game. belichick has made rebuilding harder on himself. also wtf is the point of signing jonnu, agholor, davante parker, juju? all gross stuff.
Why would they fire Belichick the team is clearly ass
Belichick is the coach and GM. Who else can get blamed for the team being ass š

On your point about the poor job drafting, yes I agree. If Strange turned out to be an all pro guard, I have no problem with drafting him at that spot though.
And as for the receivers we signedā¦youāre literally referring what I made that huge post about lmfao. Itās the NFL, you have to have 50+ players on your roster, and we needed wide receivers. Just to repeat myself because you clearly didnāt read my last post ā there is no such thing as a 100% rebuild in the NFL. You inevitably will need to sign vets at multiple spots on your roster because there are not enough young players that are good out there to put a whole team filled with them (like you can in the nba) and if you have a whole bunch of s***ty young players it will be tough to evaluate anything because youāre s*** (see Carolina Panthers ā Bryce Young is struggling mightily because they have no talent on that offense so you have no idea if heās good. Not that Carolina went with young playersā¦they just have no talent).
I think what we both agree about is that the Pats have done a poor job of evaluating talent over the last decade (draft+free agency). That makes it tough to build a team (whether starting over or building a contender).

what Iām telling you is you should be signing random bum vets to play middle linebacker or guard and spending draft picks on wide receivers, tackles, and corners. not the other way around. bill had the niners openly laughing at us with that stupid ass cole strange pick.

Purposefully pay a bum to start on your team?
Could not possibly be me.
Also, I wish we drafted a middle linebacker high. When was the last time we drafted a middle linebacker in the first two rounds? Might actually be Hightower a decade ago if I remember correctly
Also, idc what a franchise that hasnāt won a Superbowl since 1995 and traded up to draft Trey Lance thinks

itās not about what the niners think itās about the absurdity of drafting 5th round prospects with 1st and 2nd round picks ie stange and tyquan thornton. like that goes beyond simply missing on a draft pick, that is awful process. pickens goes two picks later and we passed on him for a guy with a 5th round grade in every other front office in the league.
the niners are a much better run franchise than we are btw
