I get sarcasm is a personality trait people seem to love. But I hate when they say “people never get me”. How TF am I supposed to respond to it? If I respond sarcastically it just sounds like two people bickering. If I ignore it I “just don’t understand their personality”.

sarcasm should make people laugh to be real. otherwise you get someone doing sarcastic jokes that nobody ever gets and their fake comments become their personality.
