I really like LaMelo, I don't think he'll be a MVP but I think he has potential to be a top 30ish player and the best passer in the league. It'll all come down to if he becomes a acceptable defender and can be a not awful shooter. He measured 6'8 without socks yesterday so that's a plus.

I can deffinetly see a world where he flames out and I was really worried about him a month before the draft. But since he's been in Charlotte there's already been a bunch of stories leaking about how hard he works.

Gordon, I have two opinions about one is the contract and one is the player.

The contract + the Batum stretch is some of the worst cap management i've ever seen. It screams of MJ just doing whatever it takes to get players with big names to come to Charlotte.

Gordon won't even guarantee us the 9th seed, it's just dumb not to keep going with the youth. We could've gotten Jalen Greene or Jonathan Kuminga to pair with LaMelo. We also would've been in the Emoni Bates sweepstakes the year after.

On Gordon the player though, I think he'll surprise some people and give us 2 years of near all-star production. It's also nice to have a vet like that in our locker room because before our only vets were Cody Zeller and Biz. He's still not worth the contract though.

The Hayward move has not been popular at all with fans so if that was MJs goal he failed too
