You brought him up to say cudi ain’t chasin number 1s like him, and my whole point was to say even if he doesn’t everyone wants a #1 even if they pretend to not care. It’s about the industry validation. He isn’t some nobody. He is a major recording artist who has blurred the lines between mainstream and niche. He is at that point in his career where he deserves to be on top of the ALBUM charts.
If I’m cudi I ain’t trying to play 2nd fiddle to Taylor swift. I’d wait to drop the album.
If he pushed it back just bc of Taylor it'd make him look pathetic and desperate bro
Cudi is above that s***.. he just lets the chips fall where they may. At the end of the day, people remember good music, not what albums went #1.
