Gave this a pretty thorough first listen and I'm a lil mixed but ultimately its at a minimum a good album.
The best moments rival those from the albums before it but the worst moments (where Cudi tries his best to emulate Travis Scott for some bizarre reason) definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd say the back half is definitely stronger than the front half. The Trippie song was great and unfortunately while I was really anticipating the Pop Smoke feature, its clear its a throwaway they got after he passed.
This absolutely has the feel of a MOTM album but in some ways it almost leans too heavily on that concept? Weird complaint but it almost detracts from my enjoyment when we got projects like Indicud and PPDS which sonically are different ventures from the standard formula and hold up very well. I'm sure thats just a small nitpick and ultimately if thats my biggest complaint outside of Cudi trying to "modernize" his sound with increased autotune and adlibs then its basically all good outside that.
I cant wait to spin it more and really dive deeper. While I think this is likely the weakest of the 3, I dont see it too far behind MOTM1 in my own enjoyment and I think this is basically what the fans were looking for.
After almost a decade I'm glad the Trilogy has concluded, and I'm excited to enjoy the end of an era with this project.
Why do so many people hate Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven but so many people like Elsie’s Baby Boy. Feels like it would have fit on that album

Elsies baby boy is more calm & flows really well, SB2H is raw as f*** not caring ab flow but being as raw as possible ppl aren't ready for that

A lot of people enjoyed songs like Embers, handle with care, edge of the earth and songs like that. It’s the tracks like judgmental c*** that people didn’t enjoy. And i think you’d agree that Elsies baby boy does not sound like Judgmental c***.
Jesus f***ing Christ Cudi this is amazing
Mr Solo Dolo III is unreal
Abel & Scott kings of 2020

That makes sense. Feels like a mix of Trauma and Wedding Tux
I don't want anymore Cudi albums without at least a couple Plain Pat produced songs.
His production throughout PPDS and his couple songs on here are so damn good.
