I took a week off work to listen to MOTM3 and I quickly realized it’s not the album I’ve been thinking about every day for ten years. I cried myself to sleep and haven’t been able to function. I end up crying whenever I think about the album and I don’t even want to touch apple music. This was supposed to be the future of music and now I don’t know what else I have to look forward to.

Damn this s*** hit different on 432hz

It's crazy how a simple slight pitch change your perception of an album. This album sounds darker on 432 hz

Sad people and sept 16 really grew on me.

Sad people reminds me of something I’d hear on motm1.

Honestly don’t know how I could choose a favorite song on here

Although I think there’s a good chance heaven on earth ends up my most played.

That beat and flow are infectious honestly think it may be Cudis best “hiphop” song ever.

I’ve pretty much only see positive reception from this but the few people I’ve seen disappointed were the ones who expected this to be a lot more gloomy and dark.

i'm disappointed. i think the songwriting/lyrics are lil watered down for cudi, but the album is supposed to be accessible so it makes sense. like im cool with him rapping but when he raps about nothing it used to be more witty

    i still enjoy it but

    what yall think about this @Sounds @Leaner09 @Gulpin @Chip_Skylark @PrinceAlexander_ @MrKiD

truthfully, i like the idea of the "moon man" story being complete. solely for the reason of cudi is no longer tied to a sound, or boxed in by a theme. He can create any sound he wants and title it accordingly.

... that being said, if he fouind comfort in this sound, i expect (like any other time) he builds on it to stem off of it. But idk man, i dont think he enjoyed this ten years of pressure. I bet he loves the break tbh

I think it’s great but it’s clearly not the same indie/alternative cudi for the first half of the album.

I think people who enjoy Cudis new material over the last couple years would love this more than the people who were expecting something more “traditional” from him.

Thing is none of the motm albums are the same so this just continues that trend.

Motm1 is very bright and poppy while motm2 has this dark and melancholy type of feel to it.

This is a victory lap for cudi and it sounds like it.

idk man. he talks about that like its finished. and you know he likes to tinker and perfect. hes prolly added some s***. but youre right. im expecting 8-10 quality fun tracks.

yea i bet the relief he felt after seeing the warm reception to the album mustve been quite something

personally i would be cool with "moon man" type songs in the future, i mean its always there anyways u know but just the MOTM saga in album form should end right here

im so proud of the man for creating this track. dot gave him the props for the void too.

I expect cudis next full length LP to be more in the direction of indicud, versus motm.... but idw any more sequels. Fresh concepts and zero expectations is a new fun way to look at cudi.

right. we'll hear glimpses and sounds we are familiar with. like PPDS and KSG.
