I think God does understand especially for that adage that went like every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. I would repent as well and am trying to more often cause I f***ed up and hurt other people. Then again, I've asked religious people for the unforgivable sin which is to reject or not believe in the holy spirit which I would like more knowledge on. It scares me to think that religion would make it so if you don't do this, then you are dammed for eternity. Doesn't feel very welcoming or open if you know what I mean.
I feel that every religion has a kernel of truth in it and they are similar yes. But how much truth tho... Nah you're good. So in a way, we all take bits and pieces of what resonates within and make it part of us. Maybe for the greater good but isn't it just polarity like negative and positive. I've heard people say good and evil doesn't exist but idk
