Would those songs and beats exist in their current state without Kanye’s involvement yes or no
Nope
Would they exist in their current state without the producers who made them and worked on them?

Yes, Kanye would just find other producers capable of executing the ideas in the same fashion
Mike Dean isn’t the only person in the world who can perform a guitar solo
ppl on here were damn near crucifying me the day chromokopia dropped and i said it was his most recycled unsinpired stuff yet

This is what I’m talking about
You just discredited every producer on MBDTF and said it was all Kanye. Disrespectful as f*** tbh
Kinda funny how Kanye’s new music is sounding these days without Mike and the boys tho

@insertcoolnamehere aint no way you agreeing with this one

I didn’t discredit them, I said they didn’t come up with the IDEAS
The idea is what Kanye is getting credit for.
Said idea can be executed by any talented musician
There’s no way you took that as me discrediting the musicians
ppl on here were damn near crucifying me the day chromokopia dropped and i said it was his most recycled unsinpired stuff yet
I find the story threading the album together to be more interesting than the album itself. Like the information he's presenting is dope it tells us a lot about him as a a person. but the music in itself isn't remarkable to me
Why do you keep telling me I’ve never been in a studio environment when I have? I understand the process of bouncing ideas around very well
I keep repeating that because I’m just talking about who made the f***ing beats on the album man. Kanye gets all the credit for everything his name is on and the actual beat makers and musicians responsible for the music get left out. Kanye’s ideas to add in samples, Layers, Beat switches, outros etc. are great but mean absolutely nothing if the producers he was working with couldn’t do it
Bink threw a tantrum about it a couple years back because he made one of the greatest beats oat and no one gave a f*** about him and gave Ye all the credit. Hudson Mohawke also said he did most of the work on FSMH but basically got no recognition because Kanye had metro slap a hi hat and his tag on it. Metro himself confirmed this and basically said Kanye just wanted his tag on it
I mean this doesn't change that ye was still heavily involved in both the production and recording process. The same way people downplay the beat makers contribution, ur downplaying ye contributions

That’s not how it works tho
Kanye never came up with the idea to make POWER until S1 showed him the beat
S1 made that beat. He found the sample and the drum break. Kanye took that and built on it. He added the King Crimson sample, He had Mike Dean add the guitars and Bass, He had Jeff Basker work on the outro
That song would not exist without S1 presenting him the foundation to build on

What you’re doing is indirectly discrediting every rap producer who’s ever sampled a song btw

I’m not tho
Im saying they’re equally important. One wouldn’t exist without the other
Other dude literally just said all the guys Ye works with don’t matter at all which is absolutely crazy

igor is good but cmiygl and chromakopoia arer just like really bro

My brother in Christ it wouldn’t exist in its current form without Kanye, S1, Mike Dean and Jeff Bhasker all contributing to it

I'm referring to ur other points about how kanye did "very little" in terms of production and how his role as a director in MBDTF every artists does
Guys I can literally pull up the track list, Credits and interviews with other producers who worked on the album to show who did what on almost all the songs
I think it’s cool Ye surrounded himself with elite level producers and musicians to put the album together. Clearly he had a vision bigger than what most other artists have and it shows. I agree I would like to see more of that
But again as far as the actual production on the album, The beats. He did very little
maybe he realized him doing all the beats would result in wack ass music like tyler making rn
My brother in Christ it wouldn’t exist in its current form without Kanye, S1, Mike Dean and Jeff Bhasker all contributing to it
You said yourself Kanye oversaw all of the elements after S1 laid the foundation. Did Mike Dean tell Jeff Bhasker what to do on the outro or did Ye
