Once Negan debuted the show went to s*** lol. Great lead up to his unveiling but it was a lot of cringe and cheese after that. Damn shame, the hype was real leading up him coming in and trying to guess who he was gonna kill.

Maybe I’ll check out the new series.

I've been hearing the same which is why I'm thinking about jumping back into TWD

But I haven't seen in it in so long so I'd have to start over

This is popular to say but not true. S7 onwards is a step down in quality to 1-6, Netflix making it bingeable made those seasons a better watch since it wasn’t such a slog. It’s still decent tv, that is enjoyable, 7-9 are better, s10 had 7-8 episodes that could’ve been scrapped.11 started off good, but just went the super generic route and turned the main group into superheroes damn near. Best way I can say is, seasons 1-10 I think it’s a lot easier to make an argument for the group being morally gray, than them being actual good guys. Season 11 makes it a very clear “we are the good guys taking down a very bad evil leader”. Just departed from everything that made the characters who they are. Certain characters became couples who would’ve been better off as strictly friends, no type of chemistry. Just feels like they phoned it in.

There are some good moments inbetween in season 11. There’s a death that had me surprisingly more choked up than I thought I would be.

Meh. I watched until season 10. Didn’t like the Whisperers story in season 9. Season 8 was “Total War” or whatever it was in the comics - it was maybe the most boring season.

When watching I felt like once Negan came in, the show felt too comic book like and leaned into the unrealistic a little TOO MUCH. 1-6 felt more grounded in reality.

Yoo just watched the first 2 episodes of The Ones Who Live. This s*** is fire. Definitely restoring the feeling. It's too bad that most people have already given up on this series

Yoo just watched the first 2 episodes of The Ones Who Live. This s*** is fire. Definitely restoring the feeling. It's too bad that most people have already given up on this series
