For some reason though, I’m interpreting “the end of The Weeknd” as just a long hiatus from music to focus on film for the better part of a decade before he eventually returns. Think JT in between FSLS and 20/20. I don’t think he’s actually planning to drop the stage name and start releasing music as Abel. The brand of The Weeknd is just too strong at this point.

When you think about it, this guy has been going nonstop with the music since 2020, and has another album on the way, which he’ll probably end up touring as well.

To me, it seems like he wants to complete the trilogy and tout it as a “final album” so that it will give him a much needed rest and break from music

I don't know man, I really like his albums as The Weeknd. I understand he wants to try something different, but I kinda hope it's not too different.

I don't think he should focus on TV/films, The Idol was a mess.
