yes, i like that section tbh. but let's be real, that's a bunch of ogs who knows what they want.

tactics like this made me worried that his artistic integrity is compromised. first they pushed ariana, then max martin, then they almost cut out the hills, then 18 songs on starboy, then 2 doja cat collabs, and 2 ariana remixes, what is next?

How is his artistic integrity compromised when he just dropped two amazing albums back to back?

The label isn’t interfering with his album making process, they’re just pushing the singles as hard as they can (which is what a good label does).

BBTM & Starboy were definitely influenced by the label but they were necessary for his career at the time, Kiss Land was not successful whatsoever. And even then, those albums aren’t terrible

lil wayne was probably pushed by the label since that man is in republic. his worst album collab since ed sheeran.

even if the label is not interfering in the album making, they are to blame for the overexposition.

That feature is fine, it’s definitely not as bad/forced as Dark Times is.

But a label’s job is to push their artists as hard as they can, that’s all they’re doing with Abel. They’re not controlling the type of albums he makes, they’re just marketing the singles as hard as they can. I don’t see the problem with that.

Especially because it’s not excessive like a certain someone

I think people just need to understand and accept that Abel is a full-fledged popstar at this point so he’s gonna be doing popstar things

Billie doesn’t have half as many megahits as Abel does and Harry just had his first true smash hit with As It Was. I’m positive once they become bigger and bigger they’ll start using some of these same tactics

If you had a 7 year old song all of a sudden peaking at #6 on the charts, you wouldn’t try to give it a little extra boost to get it to #1?
