The Weeknd wore a blue suit for his first performance of Blinding Lights. People began assuming there’ll be a new character in the blue suit to combat his character in the red suit. This was done because the performance was shot in black and white with blue being better for the effect.

A month or two later, an image of The Weeknd in a blue suit appeared. This led people further down the rabbit hole that the blue suit character was going to show up.

This image turned out to be a behind the scenes shot of his CR Man shoot.

This is where it all stemmed from. People then believed there to be a second part to After Hours because of this image having 1/2.

They believed part two would introduce blue suit Abel. Then the deluxe edition showed up, this led people once again to assume it was related to the blue suit character they had imagined.

Also to add: I was not a believer of the theory. Just explaining what the blue suit theory was.
