Another appreciation thread from me. Been revisiting Starboy a lot recently. This track on particular really a standout. Everything I want from both artists
The trappy / rappy tracks on Starboy are aging so bad imo
i remember first hearing this and hearing the moans in the background
told my girl then and she thought i was crazy

Not for me yet. I miss when that was the dominant sound. Don’t know wtf is the defining sound of rap today tbh?
Terrible song
OG version is so good though
Yup I only ever play the OG. 100x better

Easily one of the best “rap” songs in his discog couldn’t believe my ears when I heard what they did to it

dont know what abel was thinking with the changes he made to it
Terrible song

as is the case with almost every song from him we get previous iterations of
its frustrating
Listen to this every month along with all i know. Wouldn't be crazy to suggest abel and future would have had a decent collab album.

What other songs
Only one I can think of off top is Girls Born In The 90s since I personally like it more than acquainted
Y'all realize it's literally Low Life part 2 right? That said obviously it's a good song.

OG is so good
"She lick it up just like a cannn-daaayyy"
Oh, btw I love the way he changes the flow in his singing making it smoother at the part:
"And she bend it over like she got no back bone
Got a couple niggas blinging up a trap phone
She don't need nobody waiting back home, she got it"
It's one of those cases where Abel's voice becomes the extra instrument, he glides on that production, and it sounds so good. It's very very probable I would pause and replay that part, whenever I play this track!.
