The complete 180 on WLR was f***ing wild lmao
Really. It's crazy. They acted like it was the worst album of all time at release and now they act like it's the best album now
what i mean is that the audience has expectations on artists. when an artist changes up their style, a majority of the audience will not fw it because they relate too much to their old material. i cant imagine being a David Bowie fan back in the day. mf went from glam rock to KRAUTROCK in a span of 3-4 years lmao im sure he alienated a lot of fans
I get what you mean, I'm definitely a Trilogy fan, I like this new album but he's been dabbling in 80s stuff for over 5 years now, it's not particularly new for him anymore, and it's a sound that's been done a lot for over a decade
When Bowie did Krautrock, Krautrock was actually new and it was cool to bring it to the masses, here Abel's bringing more 80s-influenced synthpop to an audience who is familiar with it from other artists as well as his previous work
Either way the album's good and has some of his best pop material, the outro's beautiful
looking back in like 20 years seeing that there was one single tour for both after hours and this album is gonna be f***ing insane
don’t care what it costs i gotta be there, that’s some iconic s***
I’m sayin bruh
You gotta be a d***head if you a weeknd fan and don’t make an effort to get tickets to this s***
this gonna end up his most acclaimed album outside of HoB 100% and I'm not convinced hob is safe
Gasoline, Take My Breathe, Sacrifice, Best Friends, Is There Someone Else? are the best tracks
I don’t like that every song sounds kind of the same: vibe, tone, instruments wise
Bruhh no Out of Time???
Lowkey that Jimmy Carrey finale skit had so much energy building up.... a finale short track after that would have been perfect.....
I was expecting a short banger
this gonna end up his most acclaimed album outside of HoB 100% and I'm not convinced hob is safe
