Imo lyrically he is way more vulnerable

he went from “theres jus something that i need from u is to meet my boys, i got alot of boys” and “dont make me make u fall in love wit a nigga like me” (dont get me wrong hes always been vulnerable like on eos title track and the knowing n stuff)

He jus sounds so defeated lyrically on this he always had dark lyrics but he reveled in it before. Now it just seems like he tired of it all

Yeah, this isn't hitting for me unfortunately. The production is crisp and cinematic and I admire the concept but sonically, nothing has really grasped me like tracks should or usually do on an album via the first listen - let alone Abel who I am a longtime fan of. Maybe I'll spin this in a couple of months and feel otherwise.
