I know everyone says this but I just want another album with dark music man. Or more Hurricane vibes or Tell Your Friends which is my favorite track by him
INTO THE LIGHT
Don’t break my heart lowkey top 2 and it aint 2
Can’t wait to play this in the Summer
What is the story behind this album?
Picture the album being like the listener is dead,” The Weeknd said. “And they’re stuck in this purgatory state, which I always imagined would be like being stuck in traffic waiting to reach the light at the end of the tunnel.” He continued, “And while you’re stuck in traffic, they got a radio station playing in the car, with a radio host guiding you to the light and helping you transition to the other side. So it could feel celebratory, could feel bleak, however, you want to make it feel, but that’s what The Dawn is for me.

Thanks my man. Exactly the reply I was looking for. Much love
Might have to rewatch the After.Life movie after hearing this album

'the most noticeable thing about Dawn FM is how effortless and confident it feels, as if Tesfaye has been bolstered rather than cowed by its predecessor’s success. Brilliantly written, produced and sung, it offers the captivating sound of an artist who knows he’s at the top of his game, at a blissful point at which every melody sticks, and every production idea works'
Bottom line this album SUCKS! I hate the way he sings over these beats, it should be so much darker…….
Patrick Bateman reviewing this album before chopping Paul Allen
Abel’s early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Dawn FM came out in '22, I think he really came into his own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consimante professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Michael, but I think Abel has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour. The masterpiece of this album is most certainly Gasoline
Honestly Take My Breath album version is literally a different song. The extended bridge OMFG. Best song ever
heard 103.5 was inspired by the radio station here in toronto! they were playing the album a lot yesterday too.
