Listened twice. Definitely the best thing I’ve enjoyed from him as a whole since MDM. One of his better projects post Kissland. Possibly his best post that era. Some serious gems in here. The guitar riff in Sacrifice alone trumps a significant portion of what I’ve heard from him over the past 5+ years. Really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to him moving away from the sort of 80s electronic new wave disco revival sounds he’s been dipping his toes in for the past couple albums now but I also love that genre of music and this was an incredibly well executed homage to that era and those sounds but in a much more modern context. The vision is really clear on this and I’m definitely f***ing with it.

I expected an album full of Blinding Lights and Take My Breath’s and that’s not what’s we got. I was a little disappointed at first. But after sitting with this album and a few listens what we got was so much better.

Craziest part about After Hours is the era went on for so long you almost forget almost 2 years have gone by
