God this album is so classic

There was a lot of "go back to where you started" "what is this s***"

jokes so I get it

it's disappointing cause it could easily be drowned out by the love (at least on here) but you know we love the drama lol

To me…

it represents the whole era
The sound, the sonics.

This has a bright uptempo sound (admittedly with some darkness beneath the surface)

It still sonically, in my opinion in his ‘brightest’ work

and thats in no way a problem

As an artist imagine constantly being told "WE NEED YOU BACK ON D**** FRESH OFF BEING HOMELESS DOING D**** TO COPE WITH SOCIETY EATING P**** WHAT IS THIS MUSIC"

When he singing about performing halftime at the superbowl and still sad and delayed this partially because of how sad he was even after ascending

Beyond the emotional facet (I believe Abel can make sad music even if he himself is not sad or on d**** or whatever trilogy fans has clung on to as a personality trait from that era)

I just think it’s disrespectful to him as an artist for us as fans to tell him what to do or what he should make next

Kanye put it best the only thing you should say to an artist about a body of work they present to you is thank you
