I think I found my one issue within the album. I understand the purpose of the “commercial” in EAIT but I don’t understand the buildup. I assume the beginning part was specifically made for use in the trailer? Because it perfectly fit but being put before the spoken word, and then afterwards having that godly buildup into the commercial doesn’t make sense to me

Atleast in my research, its hard to say. Most people wanted him to go back damn near every album prior to the one he released since he literally switched it up so much.

For instance, niggas were like when he dropped low. they wanted him to do more of station to station, same thing when he was done with his ziggy stardust character and went soul with diamond dogs.

But it was during the 80s when most people kinda checked out. Lets dance era. But nothing really changed about the way he made music. Those albums stilll underrated. it was only in retrospect when ppl were like damn. We were trippin. All his albums were f***in great.

He switched it up so much, his core fanbase was a lil smaller than other megastars in the 70s.

Broo this guy got like a 100 albums. Can you tell me the different genres of each or at least the ones that sound dreamlike or cinematic

yea CLB in terms of mass appeal regardless of numbers. I think took a slight dip, but all of his singles are massive songs lol. no one feels excluded listening to Drake music

its crazy how we are in the streaming era with the entirety of music history available in the span of 3 clicks yet people still holding on to some perspectives from the early 2000s

Like man we dont have to travel 80 miles to buy albums we can literally find anything from any era now. Pop should not be hissed at at first glance anymore.

He was one of the pioneers of Cinematic and dreamlike music. I cant describe the genres cause every album is a different genre. He was just that goated.

Id say start with ziggy stardust since thats his thriller. Its pretty much the start of glam rock or atleast the first time it got put into the mainstream.

His most dreamlike is either blackstar his last album or low. All his albums are cinematic though. That was his bread and butter
