It’s cohesive, thematic, layered, extremely detailed and intentional in both its sound and its lyrical content.

It has some of his strongest songwriting to date, both lyrically and melodically.

The radio concept is both intriguing in its uniqueness (purgatory) and very creative.

The album is structured flawlessly, not a moment wasted, not a song that feels like filler, not a lull or low moment from start to finish.

Arguably his most cinematic album to date, up there with Kiss Land.

And like Abel said himself, this sounds like the album he’s been wanting to make his whole career, like everything beforehand has been leading up to this album.

Much as I love Trilogy I never want him to be in the headspace again where he made stuff like Initiation - glad mans is (comparitivrly) happy and still dropping good music

i have a feeling it wont. After Hours was really dark, and so was this one(not musically speaking). i think After Life is gonna be an upbeat record
