Okay so first of all your voice is like very hot man like i physically couldn't focus on the stuff I just love me a good voice.
Second of all you can be a good ass professor because you explained perfectly my butchered ass question,I'm amazed you understood it.

Now on to the actual thing itself,the comment that inspired my question was from Kevin Parker's AMA,he replied to someone with this:

"Thanks dude. I don't know any hardcore music theory, but I've picked up some things along the way. Like when I hear something pretty or a chord change makes me feel a certain way, I find myself NEEDING to know why that made me feel that way. And then i keep asking questions (sometimes needlessly) like why does a major 7th chord feel so melancholy?what is it about it? But at the end of the day you know what, music theory is based around what makes us feel good, so as long as it feels good it's correct!

So that bolded part really caught my eye because I associate Abel's music(or at least some of it) with feelings of melancholy and nostalgia so I wanted something a bit more in depth,so thank you for this.
