MDM & After Hours restored the feeling for me. I still loved Abels music but it kinda felt like he was turning into just another popstar by the time Starboy came out and then he dropped those and all my doubts of his potential were put to rest. Dude truly is the GOAT

After Hours is his greatest work and I don’t think he’ll be able to ever top it

It makes sense, it wasn’t his niche and he was basically forcing himself into that lane. He hit a stride for sure and struck pop gold but that’s all most of it was, structured pop songs created solely to become hits. His artistic intention fully shined through by the time he figured out how to perfectly mix his dark, atmospheric nature with the pop sound. After Hours is in my opinion the best example of that, such a compelling body of work I often wonder if it’s his favorite

I definitely agree that it’s his best work but honestly.. I’ve said time and time again I don’t think he will top a project and then he does on a level I thought wasn’t possible lol

For me, first it was House of Balloons-topped it with Echoes of Silence

I think this next album or the project afterwards will be his greatest work

there was lots of hate in the past on ktt for this album. while i think its not his best album, i'm listening to it most of the time lately. kinda the same with kanye and the life of pablo. both not their best works but very enjoyable records and underrated imo

I think After Hours is his best work but Dawn FM is still my personal favorite if that makes sense
